How To Find Cheap Flights To Anywhere

by | Sep 29, 2021 | Saving & Spending Money, Travel | 0 comments

Craving to travel but don’t want to spend a ton of money? In this post, I’ll show you an easy and simple way on how to find cheap flights to anywhere. I’ve used this many times in the past and have saved a bit of money with this method.

As a disclaimer: I’m not sponsored by these guys at all – I just like using their service.

So let’s get into the method. Which isn’t really a method. I use a service called ‘Flystein.’

How Flystein Works

Here’s a rundown on how you can “find” cheap flights no matter where you’re going with Flystein.

  • You spend a few minutes trying to find the best deal on a flight.
  • You bring that price to Flystein and ask them to beat your pricing.
  • If they beat your pricing by the amount they charge you, you pay them money.
  • If they can’t find a way to beat your pricing by the amount they charge you, you pay $0.
    • Example: You have a trip that costs $1500 for an international round trip. You’ll pay them $49 if they find you an itinerary that’s at most $1451. If they can’t find you anything under $1451, you pay nothing. The worst outcome is if they find you something at $1451, because you win nothing and have wasted time.
  • But, it’s always “free” to use their service and it’s a very low-effort way to save money. You don’t have to do any work or research. You just show them what you’re looking for and the best price you got, and they’ll do everything else.

Step-By-Step: How To Find Cheap Flights To Anywhere With Flystein

I did a trip to surprise a loved one in Turkey for their birthday once. Here’s how I did it.

  • Then, fill in the details.
  • Wait for a few days.
  • They’ll send you an email saying that they’ve gotten you a cheaper itinerary.
  • Then they’ll give you screenshots of exactly what buttons to press to lock in your deal.

Here’s an example of a walkthrough that they had for me that reduced my ticket from $923 to $866. Trip is from SFO<->IST:

In this case, they wanted me to book a package with a hotel and just not show up at the hotel.

Apparently this trick can sometimes find you cheap flights to places.

Results: Saved $923-866-49 = 8 whole dollars.

Because I’m lazy and cheap, I want to find cheap flights to anywhere I go. So I used them again for a round trip from SFO<->HKG. They needed to beat $1186, and they got me this:

They wanted me to use an Italian website which apparently is another trick to make your flights cheaper.

Results: Saved 1186 – 1105 – 49 = 32 dollars.

It might seem stupid to save so little money and it might seem I’m being facetious.

But I’m not. 8 dollars is 8 dollars. And 32 dollars can get you a decent meal out. You shouldn’t think about the ‘relative percent’ cost that they’ll save you from your flight. You should think about the dollars in absolute value. This is because it requires almost no effort from you to send them a request to do all the work for you.

To get $8 or $32, all I literally have to do is tell someone to find me a cheaper flight. And there’s no financial risk to you if they can’t find you anything at least $49 chaper.

Who’s This For?

This is a low-effort, low-effort, no-risk way to find cheap flights to anywhere.

I’d highly recommend their service if you don’t have a lot of time to do your own research.

However, I wouldn’t recommend them if you’re going to spend 20 hours squeezing $50 off your plane ticket, and then going to Flystein expecting them to do better. They are unlikely to give you the results you want. They’re just people, after all.

Lastly, I looked at some of their Facebook reviews seem to indicate they don’t give refunds. I’m not sure why people are talking about hiring lawyers in the Facebook section to get back $49. That makes no sense and you can safely assume anyone wanting to “sue” for $49 is a moron.

In no way would you not get your money back, because you’re protected twice. Once, by Flystein themselves. Second, you should be protected by your credit card.

If a vendor promises they’ll refund you under certain conditions but don’t refund you, you can just file a chargeback. This is why you use credit cards to pay for stuff instead of a debit card.

I mean, you’ve read my posts and have gotten a credit card as a result, right?

…Right?
