So you’ve got a card with Chase Ultimate Rewards, but most your points are on another Chase card, like Chase Freedom. How do you transfer Chase Freedom points to your expensive Sapphire card so you’ll reap the maximum benefits from your card?

Before you get started with the guide below, please make sure:

• You have a Chase Ultimate Rewards card, so either a Chase Sapphire Reserve or a Chase Sapphire Preferred card.

How To Transfer Your Chase Freedom Points To Your Sapphire Card

Step 1: First, go to the ultimate rewards page and login to your chase account.

• Alternatively, you can also just google “Ultimate Chase Rewards,” go to the first result, login, and you’ll end up in the same place.

Step 2: Then, pick a card. Any card. (No magic tricks here, just an easy credit card points transfer tutorial). For simplicity’s sake, for my example I’ll pick my Chase Freedom card.

Step 3: Click on the dropdown near the top of the page.

Step 4: Click on Combine Points.

Step 5: Click on the card you want to transfer points from on the left column, and click on the card you want to transfer points to on the right column.

Step 6: Click Continue at the bottom of the page.

Step 7: Choose how many points you’d like to transfer, then press Review.

• As a side note, if you’re moving points from Chase Freedom -> Chase Sapphire, you generally want to move all your points. The reason’s because your points are no more useful in Freedom than it would be in Sapphire. If at any point you want to move it back to Chase Freedom for some reason, you can just follow this tutorial again, except on Step 5, you’d reverse the “from” and “to” cards.

Step 8: Finally, just press Confirm And Submit and your points will be instantaneously transferred.

That’s It!

Unless Chase changes their UI, this is the quickest and simplest way for you to transfer your points.

However, in order to transfer your points to your Ultimate Rewards card, you’ll need points to begin with. One way I do this is to get 5X credit card points on every Amazon purchase.
