- What you need to transfer chase points to Southwest
- The steps to transfer your Ultimate Reward Points to Southwest

You’ll need:

How To Transfer Your Chase Points To Southwest
Step 1: Go to your ultimate reward points here.
Step 2: Make sure you have enough points on your Chase travel card. If all your points are on a non-travel Chase card, I show you how to transfer points to your Chase travel card here.
Step 3: Select the appropriate Chase travel card. In my example, I’ll click on my Chase Reserve card.
Step 4: Click the dropdown on the top where you can “Earn / Use” your points:
Step 5: Click Transfer to Travel Partners
Step 6: Scroll down to find Southwest Rapid Rewards and click Transfer Points
Step 7a: Select the recipient for your points. I just picked myself because I’m selfish. Then, enter your Southwest Rapid Rewards Number, and click Continue. If you don’t know your Rapid Rewards Number, refer to Step 7b.
Step 7b (if you don’t know your Southwest Rapid Rewards #): Login to your Southwest account via this link, which will take you directly to your account info. It’ll then look something like the below. I’ve outlined in green where the Rapid Rewards # is.
Step 8: Enter how many reward points you want to transfer to your Southwest account. In my example, I chose 10K points. Press Continue
Step 9: Confirm that your details are correct and press Confirm & Submit. And you’re done!
Wrapping It Up
In this post, I showed you exactly how you can transfer your Chase Ultimate Reward points to your Southwest Rapid Rewards.
You definitely want to use your Ultimate Reward Points for hotels/flights as opposed to just redeeming them for cash back as cash back gives you very little value when compared to redeeming your points for travel rewards.
The only exception is if you never travel, then saving your points to redeem for travel doesn’t make any sense.
But then again, if you ended up reading a tutorial on how to transfer your credit card points to Southwest, chances are you probably don’t want to redeem your points for cash back.
P.S: If you’ve found this helpful, please share this with someone that’ll want to use their credit card points on Southwest.
